The conditions must be right in Calderdale this year for the False Morel (Gyromitra esculenta) as I found these two fruiting bodies on a dead fallen Goat Willow (Salix caprea). The darker one on the right was 5.5 cm tall and the one on the left was 5 cm tall, just to give you an idea of how small they actually are.
